Walkers Moving and Storage Celebrates New Branch Opening

Walkers Moving & Storage (Walkers) now to provide a global service, Walkers are about to expand its Australian operations with the launch of an International division in NSW and soon a second international branch in Qld. Providing a complete service to their customers. The opening comes at a time of growth for Walkers, which is raising its focus on international moving services for families and corporate personnel moving to and from Australia. The international expansion means a greater network of partners not only within Australia but throughout the world.
Walkers NSW Branch Manager, Adam Strickland, said, "We are very excited to be opening a new division of Walkers which will further our abilities in international moving services in and out of NSW".
With the new international branch based in Fairfield, one of Sydney's major industrial centres, we have set out to create convenience and accessibility for clients moving.
Walkers welcomes Keith Boshell our new International Manager, who will open the new division with over 20 years behind him in international moving.
Warren Strickland, Director at Walkers, said: "We are delighted to be expanding into the international moving market, where the demand for international services has rapidly grown with Australia being a major migrant destination". "In recent years, Walkers has attracted considerable overseas inquiry which has forced Walkers to meet our customers' needs for a complete moving services to include first class international removals" added Juliette Strickland GM.
Preparations are under way to inaugurate the new division once further operational customs and quarantine licensing approvals are obtained. Consequently Walkers plans to offer import services allowing us to service our international agents who have many customers moving to Australia from the UK, NZ, US, Canada, South Africa, Singapore and China.

On Saturday, August 25th, Walkers Moving & Storage Pty Ltd (Walkers) celebrated the multiple awards received by their valued employees at the Australian Furniture Removers Association (AFRA) Annual Awards Lunch and Dinner held at the Sofitel Hotel in Fiji.
The first award was for Australian Furniture Trainee of the Year Donald Balfe, a mature aged trainee who joined the company two years ago and has become a fast and professional mover. "I am wrapped I just want to thank WALKERS for nominating me and its really good to get recognition for doing a good job thanks" said award winner Donny Balfe. Next cab of the rank was Glen Downer who took out Australian Furniture Removers Association Employee of the Year, who added, "Wow what an honour and a national award, I never expected this thank you to the Strickland family and to Walkers for nominating my its very humbling."
"We were so pleased to see our staff successful, last year Tom Yeadon won Trainee also so that two years in a row, and to top the evening off when our General Manager Juliette Strickland (also my daughter) was awarded Outstanding Achievement award for her service to the furniture removal industry and our company, her mother and I had very proud tears in our eyes," said Walkers Director Warren Strickland.
"I applaud our peak body AFRA for having such an awards program where we as an industry can award and reward our valuable people for the great work they do in our organisations" Warren Strickland added.

SYDNEY, NSW, On Wednesday, July 31st, Walkers Moving & Storage Pty Ltd (Walkers) celebrated the grand opening of its new branch facility in Fairfield with NSW Manager Adam Strickland and our GM Juliette seconded there for the next year in a relatively unceremonious opening they hit the ground running with their removal team in their first move into Fairfield.
The branch, located in the newly built facility in Fairfield just off Woodville Road one of Sydney's major industrial centres only 1/2 hour from the Rail head at Chullora, provides a wonderful facility to service the interstate moving market in Sydney. "WALKERS has expanded into NSW so that we have greater control over our service quality and can provide an even higher service standard to the great number of people who are move between NSW and Qld" said Adam Strickland, NSW Manager Walkers. "We are ready to welcome and serve our existing customers in NSW and move them to not only Qld but any other major city or state they desire in Australia."
"We are excited to provide this full service branch to meet the great demand of people moving in and out of NSW, this meets our existing as well as potential customers needs," said Walkers Director Warren Strickland. "We are able to provide and set up all existing services we have had in Qld in NSW that Walkers has to offer.
